It seems a long time ago that representatives from each of our departmental teams sat down to discuss which categories to enter at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2024.

Having submitted seven award entries, we were elated to have been shortlisted in no less than 5! The awards, now in their seventh year, are the benchmark by which professionals and organisations within our sector judge themselves and the service we deliver. The awards celebrate the achievements and successes of the region’s best and brightest professionals and firms, so we couldn’t be happier to have impressed the independent judging panel to reach the final in so many categories.
This success is testament to the wealth of talent in our team, which has driven the growth and success we’ve realised over the past year. I’d like to thank everyone for their contribution as we simply could not achieve this without the team effort that you all put in every single day. – Ian Parsons

- Trainee of the Year – Maggie Dearnley
We are immensely proud of our team following two awards wins by Lisa Butterworth, our Head of Marketing, who has scooped the Support Staff of the Year award, and Maggie Dearnley, Audit Senior, for picking up Trainee of the Year, triumphing over a fantastic shortlist of six incredibly talented trainees. Both thoroughly deserved and we are delighted to have them in our team!
After being shortlisted in 2023 and 2024 (but not managing to take home the award), our talented Audit team is looking forward to another successful year and making it third time lucky in 2025. (They remain winners in our eyes!)
The Yorkshire Accountancy Awards celebrates Yorkshire’s outstanding accountants and firms. The award categories are designed to encourage nominations from small independent, mid-tier and large firms, while also offering a wide range of individual and team awards, with a view to enabling the very best of regional practice to be scrutinised, recognized and rewarded.
An independent panel of local and national experts from the profession judge the awards every year, ensuring a fair and robust process. The awards culminate in a black-tie ceremony and dinner, held in Leeds, where the finalists meet, network and celebrate as a local profession.
